SUMMARY:2024 MFR Program Summer Session for Young Scholars
DESCRIPTION:The Macro Finance Research Program (MFR)\, under the auspices of The Becker Friedman Institute (BFI) at The University of Chicago\, will be organizing a summer session for PhD students looking to write a dissertation at the interplay of macroeconomics and finance. \nThe MFR Summer Session will be a 4-day program held on August 5-8\, 2024\, hosted at The University of Chicago. Local housing accommodations and travel costs will be covered by MFR for the duration of the summer session for selected participants. \nThe MFR Program is led by Professor Lars Peter Hansen\, The David Rockefeller Distinguished Service Professor in Economics\, Statistics\, and The Booth School of Business at The University of Chicago\, who is also the recipient of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Economics. Throughout the four days of this summer session\, faculty from The University of Chicago will survey and discuss recent research on a variety of topics in the macro-finance field. \nThe program will feature opportunities for advanced PhD students to present their current research during structured poster sessions. \nThe 2024 MFR Summer Session for Young Scholars is generously funded by Edward R.
