SUMMARY:2023 Asia Meeting of the Econometric Society
DESCRIPTION:ORGANIZER\n \nCO-ORGANIZERS\n \n\nThe 2023 Asian Meeting of the Econometric Society in Beijing\, China will be jointly hosted by Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management\, Tsinghua University Institute of Fiscal Studies\, and the Becker Friedman Institute for Economics China at the University of Chicago. The conference is scheduled to take place from June 30 – July 2\, 2023. It will adopt a hybrid format\, incorporating both online and in-person components. The program will encompass keynote speeches\, academic presentations\, dinner speeches\, and various other formats. \nIn the keynote speech sessions\, we have invited nine internationally renowned scholars. In chronological order of their speaking time\, they include Ben Shalom Bernanke (recipient of the 2022 Nobel Prize in Economics and distinguished fellow at the Brookings Institution)\, John List (University of Chicago)\, Zhiguo He (University of Chicago)\, James Poterba (MIT)\, Darrell Duffie (Stanford University)\, Hélène Rey (London Business School)\, Xiaohong Chen (Yale University)\, Stefanie Stantcheva (Harvard University)\, and Wei Xiong (Princeton University). They will deliver speeches on global economic development and the latest research advancements in economics. \nFor the dinner session\, we have invited Jin Liqun\, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). He will deliver a speech on multilateralism. \nIn the academic presentation sessions\, close to 500 scholars will present their research findings on over 130 academic topics.
