Join the Development Economics Center (DEC) and the Development Innovation Lab (DIL) for a student discussion with Jack Willis\, Assistant Professor of Economics at Columbia University. \nWillis will speak to his career path\, his advice on interning and working in the international development field\, and how to make a real-world impact through academia and research. \nWillis’s research focuses on questions related to the financial lives of the poor\, the functioning of rural markets and institutions\, and on learning and technology adoption. His research has spanned land rental markets in Kenya\, development convergence theory\, and contract farming. \nThis event is open to all University of Chicago students.
