DESCRIPTION:The conference was held in-person at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business on March 18-19\, 2022. \nThe first day\, Friday\, March 18\, 2022 was a single-track special theme session on (Mis)information in networks. The organizers especially encouraged submissions within this theme. The remaining days ran with parallel sessions on all topics in the series’ broader theme of networks in economics\, which included: \n\nlearning in networks\nselling information\ninterfirm networks\ndiffusion\nstrategic marketing and influence maximization\npeer effects\nhomophily\nnetwork centrality\nnetworks in international trade\nnetworks of alliances and conflict\nfinancial networks\nmodels of network formation\ngames on networks\nexchange and intermediation\neconometrics and statistics of networks\n\nThe fully detailed agenda including session locations can be found here. \nThe conference was sponsored by the National Science Foundation\, with additional support from the Booth School of Business and the Becker Friedman Institute\, and was part of an NSF-sponsored series\, Network Science in Economics. It aimed to foster the development and dissemination of cutting edge research in network theory.
